Heavy-duty handlebar grip has a turn-lock lever similar to the quick release on your bicycle to ensure a tight grip. This innovative design helps prevent the over tightening, and ultimate stripping of screws, that causes failure in other mounts. Textured rubber lining provides additional grip to handlebar and prevents potential scratches and damage to your bicycle or stroller. |

this case that mounts on a bicycle was a gift to my husband for fathers day. He really likes it. it clamps well on to the handlebars, and the portion that you actually put the phone into is detachable from the piece that attaches to the handlebars. When in use, the case portion clips securely onto the handlebar piece, which is adjustable for different diameters. Just about any phone will fit inside of the pouch and be visible in the viewing window without taking the phone out if its protective case. The pitch has a zip closure to fully encase the phone.

FIT:: This case is large, so for smaller phones there are spacing pads included. There are two back pads (thin and thick) used to fill space so the phone is close to the clear plastic covering. There is another foam pad that has a bunch of cutouts that can be removed to fit the phone you use. Leaving just the two outer rings is about a perfect fit for an iPhone 5c in an Otterbox Defender case. The rings pop out too easily, so I ended up taping mine together so the spacer ring stayed together.
ATTACHING: The case itself clips in to a bracket which can be attached to the bike without tools. A cheaper (e-Bay, China) case I had been using required a screwdriver. You can unscrew via a plastic tab and then clamp it around your handlebar, then screw it back and flip the clamp down for a tight fit.
USING: The holder allows the phone to rotate portrait or landscape, but no tilting. It stays tilted where you clamp it. The previous case I had would swivel in all directions, causing it to constantly shift position as I rode. This one does not. Also, the clear plastic allows operating the touchscreen easily. The previous case I had did not, and I was always unzipping the case to remove the phone to use it. With this one, I can swipe to unlocked and do basic button taps. Typing onthe onscreen keyboard isn't as easy, though, but still doable.
OVERALL: Great for the money. The first one I received was missing the clamp, and Amazon quickly sent me another. The case came in a small white box, and the clamp was in plastic included separately in a laughingly oversized Amazon shipping box. Unlike my previous case, there is no opening in the bottom to let a charging cable or earbuds out. Since newer iPhones put the earphone connector on the bottom, this may be a problem since you would have to run the cable (if there is room for the plug) up and out the top or side where you leave a gap in the zipper. I don't use headphones while biking, so this was not an issue for me. I can still hear the muffled sound of the phone noises from the case, though obviously quieter than if not in the case.

I agree with everything Fyregal said on May 3, 2015. In addition, there is a D-ring & fabric loop on the case which can be used with a shoe lace as a safety tether to the bike handle bars. So if something does come loose or break, it won't fall on the ground. I successfully rode with it attached to the handle bar stem for 1.3 hours and 10 miles with no problems. Even though I rode on paved golf cart trails, there were plenty of holes and bumps crossing roads. It was jarred a lot, and it stayed put.
I asked Customer Support how to keep the case attached to the mounting bracket. I could not get the two pieces to lock together. They sent me PDF instructions and this info: "Essentially, you want to positioning widest portion of four slots on the back of the case with the four L- shaped plastic poles on the face of the mounting bracket. Place thumb at bottom of mounting bracket and push up firmly until poles slide into narrow part of slots. You should hear a snap or click." That worked for me!
I'm very, very pleased with this product. It fits well with my iPhone 5 encased in an Otter Box.

With what I spent on my iPhone I needed to make sure it was protected when riding a bike.
Gear Beast makes this great waterproof pouch with bike handlebar attachment. It actually can mount to anything with a 1" handlebar. The latch attaches tightly so there is no need to worry about it falling off. The pouch is waterproof and will also protect your phone from dirt, dust, and sand. You can rotate it 360° so that you can get whatever viewing angle works best for you. There are a few foam cushions inside. Their purpose is to fill up all the empty space so your phone won't bounce around. Since everyone uses different cases they could not have a one size fits all case. Although this is an iPhone 6 case it will fit many different phone models. I was actually able to squeeze an iPhone 6 Plus into it. If you don't want to use it for your phone you can always put your wallet and keys inside. Best of all Gear Beast offers a hassle free lifetime warranty. You can't get anything better than that.
