Tight Grip

This innovative design helps prevent the over tightening, and ultimate stripping of screws, that causes failure in other mounts. Textured rubber lining provides additional grip to handlebar and prevents potential scratches and damage to your bicycle or stroller.

Device cradle snaps easily into locking handlebar grip. Once attached, the cradle can be turned 360 degrees and locked into position so that you can view your device in landscape or portrait mode.  Cradle leg can be folded up (for landscape view) or down (for portrait view) to provide the best fit and stability for your mobile device.

Secure Cradle

Gear Beast Universal Bicycle (and Stroller) Handlebar Smartphone Mount can accommodate mobile devices up to 4 inches wide including iPhone 6/5s/5c/4s, Samsung Galaxy S5/S4, Galaxy Note 2/3/4, Google Nexus 5 and others. The cradle is designed to hold your phone or mobile device with or without a case (although we recommend using a case for outdoor activities) and has been tested to work with even bulkier protective cases like Otterbox Defender. The cradle’s soft rubber grips and pad will hold your device securely without scratching or damaging the device.

  1. Not just for Strollers and Bikes

Posted by Unknown on 3rd Aug 2015

I purchased the universal stroller and bicycle mount holder cradle to use on my golf cart. It works great. I am using my iPhone to get GPS information while I am playing golf. I have had other mounts for this purpose in the past and they did not work as well and were much more expensive. I will give the recommendation to anyone who asks and will make sure they know about Gear Beast.

  2. Secure and seemingly durable

I don't think I can add much more than has already been said but I did notice a few things...
This unit clamps very securely and fits a wide range of phones. My only real concern and the reason I went with 4 rather than 5 stars is due to the fact phones in cases aren't always going to work. It is fairly safe to assume many will buy a case for their phone and for those looking to connect to a bicycle they're likely pretty active. Many cases designed for active people are at least a little on the thicker side and some of them may not hold securely. I have a few cases for one of my phones and one isn't remotely capable of being used, one fits but I am not certain it would do well on rougher terrain. The least and slimmest case is not at all an issue and without any case it obviously works perfectly well. All in all adjustment and function are great, simple operation and what feels like durable construction means anyone that buys this mount should be happy with it. So many of the newer cases are slim so I don't feel my experience will be the norm one should expect.

  3. Great mount, easy to adjust and use

Fits well on most any size bar/pipe, so handlebars are an easy fit. It secures well with a quick-clamp similar to bike seat posts and the like. The pads on the sides help get a snug fit and keep from scratching your phone, though I always have mine in a case anyway. The mount itself is made of quick thick and sturdy plastic, and I have several products from Gear Beast. They are all made well and don't seem to skimp on making the structural parts strong and secure.

Gear Beast sent me this product for free in exchange for my review, good or bad. After using the product, I've found that I do indeed like it.

  4. Easy to use and very secure

This is the first bike mount I've used with my iPhone 6 Plus, and it works really well. The Gear Beast Secure Grip Universal Smartphone Bike Mount has a nice design that adapts to many different smart phone sizes (which is a nice feature). I also like that I don't have to do anything special to my phone in order to use it.

There are two moving parts on this mount that give it gripping power. The clamp for the handlebar combines a screw/bolt to tighten the rubberized clamp onto the bar. Then there's a lever that you flip over to apply the last bit of pressure. It you tighten it down, it's not going to shift when you're riding. The other part is the arms that clamp down on the phone itself. A side button releases the arms to slide outward. You then put your phone on the base and squeeze the arms onto the side of the phone. The arms have a rubberized grip, and they ratchet down tightly on my phone, even with the UAG case I have on it. Again, once I have it in there and squeezed onto the phone, it's going nowhere.

I'm not sure I'd trust any phone clamp for off-road trail riding, but for normal path/street riding, this works really well. It's a good option if you have a larger phone or if you need one that adjusts to various sized devices.

  5. 5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy Bicycle Phone Mount

Posted by Phyllis Staff on 15th Jan 2015

Where I live there are excellent bike trails. The first six or seven miles are easy riding, but after that, I get into the backwoods country where the trails become very bumpy – not good for a phone in the under-seat bag. This phone mount has solved my problem. Not only does it protect my phone from bouncing in my bag, it also allows me to see the phone as I ride.

Mounting on the handlebar is easy, and the mount is solid, no twisting or falling to the underside.

Overall, this is a fine way to keep your phone protected from bumps and holes, but it allows you to keep in touch while you ride. A good thing to have for communications and just in case you need a little help.

    FIVE STARS

  6. Fantastic clamp, decent cradle, a good deal

Posted by Richard C. Drew on 15th Jan 2015

There are a lot of options for mounting smartphones to handlebars, but they all seem to share the same drawback - lousy clamping systems. Cheap plastic, no metal, rubber strips that are not even glued in place. Well, this has changed with the Gear Beast. The clamp is nylon - not plastic - and features metal hardware. The jaw opens WIDE - I can even fit it on the center pole on my camera tripod. Once clamped into place, this thing won't budge. That's the part that really stands out. The cradle itself is typical. Geared so the sides open equally, snap on back, contoured side grips.
